'Gluten-Free' products contain no wheat, barley, malts or rye. The traditional breads, rolls, desserts, pasta, pizza, some soups and gravies are all off limits to those diagnosed with CD or who have a wheat allergy. According to the Mayo Clinic, '1 in 133 people in the United States now suffer with CD or a wheat allergy, four times as many sufferers as there were fifty years ago'. The cause is still uncertain, but those who must eat gluten-free products everyday to survive are finally being heard and have choices!
